The Romania–China Chamber of Commerce and Industry has 28 years of relationships and a network of thousands of companies. One thing was missing: a reason for a decision-maker to stop. We built it into the DNA of their own material.
We did not make prettier PDFs. We gave the Chamber a reason to exist in the mind of the decision-maker, and from there everything else became easier to carry forward.
Leaner internal communication. Brand recognition and recall, a material that explains on its own who they are and why they matter, without a person having to make the case every time.
The strategic structure behind that communication stays ours. The Chamber's performance supports us passively, because every material they send carries the signature that built it.
That is how the Chamber stopped competing as one more bilateral chamber and started owning a territory of its own: the cultural trust bridge between the two markets.
Cucuteni in Romania. Yangshao in China. Two Neolithic cultures that, thousands of kilometers apart and with no contact between them, painted almost the same pottery. We used this bridge in both directions: the Cucuteni vessel opens the material for the Romanian audience, the Yangshao vessel closes it for the Chinese one. A decision-maker in Beijing sees at once that someone is speaking their language.
The official presentation brochure of the Romania–China Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Cluj branch, built by UNRIVALS.
The Chamber was sending out materials that were correct and completely forgettable. The positioning read like bureaucracy: “we organize events and connect companies.” We went straight into the official brochure and rewrote the promise: we build economic trust between two markets through a shared cultural code.
Same material, different function. From an institutional presentation it became an asset that travels on its own and brings people back to the source.
The Romania–China Chamber of Commerce and Industry is one of the channels through which Chinese companies enter Romania and Europe, and through which Romanian companies reach one of the largest markets in the world. The Cluj branch is one of the strongest in the country.
The problem was how it presented itself, not the relationship itself. The materials looked like those of any other chamber of commerce: a correct PDF, full of information, that a decision-maker closes in three seconds.
In a conversation where everything rides on trust, the material built no trust at all.
The strongest commercial relationships are built on trust, not on transactions, and trust needs a reason. The reason already existed, but nobody was using it: two peoples who, 7000 years ago, thought the same way about form, symbol and community.
We took that heritage and pulled it out of the ornament zone. We turned it into a commercial argument: if we understood each other back then, without ever having met, we can understand each other now too.
We placed the Romanian Neolithic vessel next to the Chinese one, almost identical after 7000 years. Out of that came the line that holds the whole material together: “Two civilizations, the same DNA. Continuity creates trust, trust builds the future.”
Cucuteni opens for the Romanian audience, Yangshao for the Chinese one. Each side recognizes itself in the material before reading a single word about business. That is how the first barrier in a negotiation falls: the cultural one.
We rewrote the Chamber's identity from the first page: positioning, ecosystem, services, all under the same promise. A reason it matters, in place of a list of activities.
The commercial moment, the protocols signed in Beijing that open Romanian agri-food exports to China, cast in the same language: from the memory of agriculture, toward lasting collaboration.
The rhombus, the rhythm, the visual system. Our signature lives inside the client's material without touching their brand. Those who know UNRIVALS recognize it. The rest feel it as order.
This is where the material stops being communication and becomes a system. The Chamber sends it on because it makes them look flawless. And every time they send it, they distribute our brand too.
The Chamber becomes, at the same time, client, distribution channel, credibility guarantor and passive lead generator. One single material does the work of all four.
The case study is ongoing, so what we put here is what is already true, not invented percentages.
The brochure and the forum campaign are being distributed by the Chamber to its partners, global corporations and Romanian brands in its network. The potential traffic exists from day one.
UNRIVALS is now the Chamber's communication partner. Our signature sits on its institutional materials.
A cultural code 7000 years old became a friction-reducing mechanism inside a real commercial negotiation. From decoration, into argument.
The protocols signed in Beijing open Romanian agri-food exports to China. The forum is where that opportunity turns into a meeting, so we cast it in the same cultural code: from the memory of agriculture, toward lasting collaboration. The same bridge, applied to a piece of business that is happening right now.
25 September 2026 is an estimated date, pending confirmation of the final venue and capacity. Organizational details at ccroch.ro.
A chamber of commerce was the starting point, but the pattern repeats. If your materials are correct and completely forgettable, the problem is that nothing you send gives a person a reason to stop, not your promotion budget.
We don't deliver strategy before marketing. We put it inside it. That way even a plain presentation material starts bringing people back to you, on its own.
